Instead of formality and tradition for tradition’s sake, this experience blends modern breathwork, reflective resilience practices, and refined Scottish charm to honour the spirit of Burns in a fresh, meaningful way.

The night culminates in a beautifully hosted, contemporary Scottish meal designed to inspire true connection, thoughtful conversation, and a sense of belonging.

Arrive at The Bothy in Glasgow’s West End and be welcomed by the Tartan Retreats team. Receive your curated welcome pack and ease into the softly lit, candle-warm private space prepared exclusively for this Burns-inspired experience.

Opening Intention Setting

Ease into the evening with guided intention setting, grounding, and warm introductions. Your Tartan Retreats hosts will invite each guest to share what brought them to the experience and what they hope to gain from the night, allowing the group to build connection.

This gentle opening honours the spirit of Burns, a celebration of voice, presence, and inner fire, and will prepare the group for the sessions ahead.

Guided Somatic Breathwork Journey

A restorative and reconnecting breathwork experience with Jen, focusing on releasing the tension of winter, softening into presence, reconnecting with the body, and opening space for clarity and emotional reset.

This guided session uses gentle, accessible techniques suitable for all levels.

Resilience Activation Session

A signature Tartan Retreats workshop with Juliet exploring how to reconnect with your inner strength, understanding your emotional capacity, softening patterns of burnout and overextension, and returning to self-trust and embodied clarity. Includes somatic awareness, reflective prompts, and light group sharing.

Guests will thereafter be treated to an upscale Burns-inspired meal, featuring modern Scottish flavours and warm conversation. Enjoy a beautifully prepared two-course seasonal meal, a cosy candlelit dinner atmosphere & guided conversation prompts.

Closing Reflections & Optional Dram

Close the evening with gentle reflections and a final grounding moment to integrate the group's new toolkit. Your hosts will offer closing words inspired by the spirit of community, courage, and belonging, the true heart of a reimagined Burns Night.

Guests will receive their luxury engraved whisky glass, created exclusively for this event, as a symbolic reminder to honour their inner fire long after the night ends.

An optional dram may be added at checkout for those who wish to toast the night in true Scottish style!

Jen Hebenton - Jen is a passionate health and wellness practitioner with over a decade of experience. Highly trained in somatic practices, with an extensive background in yoga and movement, she helps guests reconnect with their mind and body in powerful, uplifting ways. Jen guides her clients towards greater balance and joyful self-expression, allowing for the release of any energetic blockages.

Juliet Gracey - Juliet is an accredited holistic therapist and COSCA certified counsellor with a background in coaching and empowerment practices. She blends evidence-based techniques with intuitive programmes to create transformative wellbeing experiences. Her passion is helping guests build lasting growth, resilience and renewal through practical, lifelong coping strategies.
